The Lloyds Bank Business Barometer has indicated rising business confidence amid optimism about Britain’s vaccination programme. The indicator has reached its highest level since the pandemic began, rising nine percentage points to 2% this month. It is the first positive reading since March. The survey of 1,200 companies in the first two weeks of February found that companies in the construction and manufacturing sectors are among the most hopeful.
