Over 80% of entrepreneurs stay involved after selling their business

Research from private bank Arbuthnot Latham shows that 83% of entrepreneurs remain connected to their firms in some way after selling, with around 60% saying this stabilises the business in the long term. Staying on as an advisor or non-executive director was the most common link founders maintained, the study shows. The research, which polled 200 high net worth business owners, saw a fifth say they were “perfectly happy” with the way the business exit process went.
